Collaborative Activities of the Center for Research on Engineering Applications in Tropical Agriculture (CREATA)

CREATA develops various innovations in agriculture and technology to improve the efficiency and quality of agricultural products. The development and production of prototype mixer V.1 and V.2 for napstack sprayer with PT Syngenta Indonesia is a significant step in supporting agricultural mechanization. In addition, testing of automatic and semi-automatic sprayers from various companies, training on electric sprayers, and research on agricultural equipment rental services by YARI IPB show a focus on the efficiency of agricultural equipment use. In the field of product processing, the palm oil content and palm fruit quality detection system based on UV-VIS-NIR technology and Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy, as well as a non-destructive method based on Near-Infrared Spectroscopy for robusta coffee beans, are technological breakthroughs in quality analysis. The effect of temperature and incubation time in an incubator on vanilla quality is also studied to optimize production, while the design of a fresh fruit bunch sorting machine based on oil content using spectroscopy opens up new efficiency opportunities in the palm oil sector. All of these initiatives emphasize the commitment to the advancement of technology-based agriculture in Indonesia.
