Pusdi Sawit carries out various strategic initiatives to support the development of the plantation sector and tropical research. Discussions on the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), Nutri Score, and palmitic acid policies by the Directorate General of Plantations are important steps in responding to international demands related to sustainability and product quality standards. On the other hand, the Integrated Tropical Peatlands Research Programme (INTPREP) involving cooperation with the National University of Singapore (NUS) confirms its commitment to sustainable tropical peatland research. In the palm oil plantation sector, the preparation of community oil palm plantation documents for the East Kolaka Regency Government aims to improve the governance and welfare of oil palm farmers. In addition, cooperation with Pindad in testing bulletproof vests shows the diversification of research and innovation activities that support national technological independence.
